America, here I come!Blake here.
I just received word that my US Visa has been approved! After waiting for 12 months, this is very welcome news. I am ridiculously excited about hitting the ground running in America, and showing them what I have been working on here in Australia over the last four years. I have been approached by Grown Sunglasses to do a monthly blog/vlog following the progress of a guitarist from Byron Bay who used to live in a tent for two years - to arriving and playing in America! You will all be able to follow me and see what opportunities arise. Will I have to get a 'real job'? Probably for a little while.... Also - BIG NEWS! I've got more than enough songs ready for the new album, due out by the end of this year. If you ever thought 'Blake's music would sound cool with a vocalist' then daydream no more my friends, because I am singing in more than half of the new tunes. I have also added the ancient Australian Didgeridoo to a few songs, which gives them a nice, yet haunting feel. Some of you will know a few that I play regularly in my live set - Waitomo, Perpetual Leader, Tsunami, and more. The big launch will happen somewhere in Seattle, WA, but you Aussies will be able to order it online. Stay tuned for some 'giveaways' as the songs are recorded. There are gigs coming up over the US summer, including some shows with the mighty 'Cody Beebe & The Crooks'! Stay tuned for dates, tickets will sell fast. Keep on rockin' dudes, see you out there somewhere! Blake 'Bundjalung'
